This was the mood of Indian nationalism during this period-When Cripps came to India with certain proposals, the Indian leaders demonstrated that they are not satisfied less than Independence. When in Punjab Stafford Cripps Mission was opposed by Lal Lajpat Rai, the British beat him so much that resultantly he died. This was the crucial period for Indian nationalism and Independence. The spirit of nationalisms for independence was at its peak. A gradual and complete account of political events has been made here to do justice with the historical facts.
