Synopsis As Murty turns his attention from public affairs to the "arcane" world of capital Markets Forex Markets, Corporate Responsibility, Banking, Stock Markets, and yes, Capital Account Convertibility with his characteristic lucidity, it is my turn to become taciturn.  I quickly learn that brevity is the essence of wit.  Murty has much to say on a wide variety of issues, challenges and opportunities that confronted the nation over the last three/four years! His canvas is so wide that his brief sketches elucidate almost every subject on earth. By way of illustration, the following may be mentioned at random: Corporate malfeasance; Infectious greed of CEOs; the common mistake of forgetting the problems of the other side by high power trade negotiators; Varishta Pension Bhima Yojana; A method in the madness called stock market; PSBs, BPOs, CRR, Cancun or globalisation: FDI in insurance; Japan bouncing back to "normal"; Green (span) years; and yes, the attractiveness of 'curves' off the field as well as in the den on the Dalal Street.  A quick look at the titles and bylines of his brief articles reveal an eclectic mind and a heart on the right side, i.e., on the left! He is eternally pushing for the welfare of the teeming millions of our countrymen and pleading for common sense in public affairs.  One can only wish that Murty would go on with his mission to make complexity comprehensible for years to come.
