Synopsis
Women constitute nearly half of total population of the country. Therefore, the development of the country is not possible without the development of this vast segment. For centuries women in India are suffering due to discrimination, exploitation and exposed to various kinds of harassment at various levels. Empowerment of women implies process by which women's power of self-organisation is promoted and reinforced, they develop the capacity for self-reliance out crossing the relationship of subordinates on account of gender, social and economic status and society. The purpose of this book is to invigorate and actuate the notion of women empowerment.
