Usha Kiran Chopra is presently working as principal Scientist in the Division of Agricultural Physics, Indian Agricultural research Institute, Indian Agricultural research Institute, new Delhi. She joined ICAR as ARS Scientist in 1979 at Cotton technological research laboratory (presently CIRCOT), Bombay. Prior to that she worked as lecturer in Physics at Women’s College and then Joined IARI, New Delhi in 1977. She did her M.Sc. in physics from Lucknow university, Lucknow and Ph.D in Agricultural Physics from Indian Agricultural research Institute, New Delhi. Her research specialization and publications are in the area of soil physics, simulation modeling of crop growth and soil transport processes and remote sensing. Her work on remote sensing. He work on remote sensing inputs into crop simulation modeling got best Poster Award by Asian Association on remote Sensing, Japan in 1994. As a senior faculty at IARI, She is engaged in research, teaching and training on various aspects f the processes involved in physical environment of plant growth. She has guided four M.Sc. students. She is associated with many professional societies. She has shouldered the responsibilities of secretary, Joint secretary and Treasurer in the executive Committees of these societies and conducted national Symposiums on scientific themes of current national importance.    

A.K. Singh obtained his M.A. and Ph.D. degree in History of Art from the Banaras Hindu University. He has awarded Senior Research Fellowship by the U.G.C.
