This Encyclopaedia of Education is divided into five volumes and each volume is independent in itself. The first volume is on the History of Education. It attempts to outline the history in a clear and simple manner. The second volume describes the Theories of Education and Education in Emerging Society. It includes issues like non-formal education, adult education, population education, sex education, women's education, educational technology, micro-teaching, mass media in education and communication process etc. Psychology of Teaching-Learning Process is explained in the fourth volume. It introduces the readers to concepts, theoretical formulations and many new fields of study concerned with educational psychology, that are assumed to have implications for education. The final volume of the encyclopaedia is on Educational Measurement, Statistics and Guidance Services.
