1942 August Revolution: The Drama Based on Mahatma Gandhi's Inner Voice
Synopsis
This drama is based on the revolution of nineteen hundred forty two. It is the need of the day that we should reincarnate the forgotten values of pre-independence. Once again, the national fanitism should take rebirth in our hearts. Gandhi evaluated all the circumstances. He felt the diminishing enthusiasm of the country. He saw the cooling down of fanatic fire of non-cooperation, boycotting and hunger strikes. He saw the relationships in the burning fire of communal rioting instigated by the British Empire. Everybody was looking towards Gandhiji and Gandhiji was illuminating like the glittering sun-beans. In the general meeting of the Congress Committee, on 8 August 1942 the proposal of 'Quit India' was passed. At the Gwalior Tank, addressing the public, Gandhiji called on the people with the slogan, "do or die". Do whatsoever, but get the country freedom". If we get freedom tomorrow, achieve it today. We require nothing less than freedom-full flagged freedom. The drama contains some of the important incidences and human characters bearing valour, bravery and patriotism, which are still badly needed, even after getting independence. In fact it was an attempt to reveal future through past.
