Synopsis The book on "Flora of Haryana (Materials)" deals with the taxonomic account of 1062 wild plant taxa falling under 583 genera representing 163 plant families based on author’s own collections and available plant material in herbaria (BSD & DD) and literature. The book includes chapters on complete vegetation account, forest types, floristic diversity and dominant plant families/genera in Haryana, monotypics, rare and endangered taxa and their conservation besides data on individual plant taxa showing current nomenclature (including basionym, synonyms and local names), flowering and fruiting time and suitable notes on economic uses and other aspects wherever essential. The text is enriched with 14 photographs and 84 illustrations of important plant taxa representing various plant families. An appendix on economic important plant species with various uses is also provided in tabular form in the end of the text. The cultivated species have also being included in alphabetical manner in the end of respective families.
