Synopsis
This book details the history of the birth, growth and development of Homoeopathic Repertories. It started during Hahnemann's time, as the Homoeopathic pioneers needed some sort of index for the symptoms of the Homoeopathic remedies. The growth of the Materia Medica compelled them to such ready references and indices. For the students of Homoeopathic Medicine, the author indicates the importance of knowing the background and the genius behind the work done by different workers. He has ennumerated different Repertories, and how, apart from working as mere indices, they could be utilised as philosophic and scientific guides for proper case taking, evaluation of symptoms and different ways of analysis of the indicated remedies. The author was stimulated and excited by the efforts achievements of these pioneers and tried to pass on, at least, some part of it to the students, teachers and readers. Hahnemann's principles, as laid down in the Organon, and philosophical guidance has been dove-tailed in the relevant portion of the different chapters of the book. This kind of the book is needed badly by the profession, teachers and students, especially, for the post-graduate students of Homoeopathic Repertory.
