Synopsis Indian Political Parties Annual provides a chronicle of events in country's political affairs on a day-to-day basis.  It covers 6 national and 33 regional parties recognized by the Election Commission of India.  This recognition helps the political parties to claim unique ownership of certain identities, such as the party symbol, until the next review of their status.  The political parties are an established part of modern mass democracy.  The Constitutions of Indian stipulates that India be a federal polity with a central government in New Delhi and state governments for the various States and Union territories.  In an era of coalition politics, the need of a chronicle of events of political parties, on a periodic basis, hardly needs to be emphasized.  An Index to the events will be useful about the activities of each political party during the year.
