Synopsis
The present research study on Herbal and Medicinal Plants is based on a UGC Sponsored Program. In South-East Asia, specially in India medicinal plants have their own unique features. Some medicinal plants can cure diseases such as malaria and colds and some can cure wounds or skin diseases. We need to first collect the plants from the forest. The vegetable world comprises of three main groups of plants: Superior, Intermediary and Inferior. These encompass bacteria, microscopic algae, mushrooms, ferns, bushes and trees, among others. Various different species of herbal plants have been identified which are grown in abundance in certain regions. The medicinal uses of each of these have been identified.
