Synopsis The intention of the present book entitled "Eco-tourism and Environmental Management" is to lay stress on the operating geomorphic processes and the assemblage of resultant landforms which have fascinated the Pachmarhi hills as an Eden of Bliss' and provided the nice balance of natural beauty for the development of tourism industry. Process and form are the synonym of topography and thus the topo-culture has been defined through quantitative techniques and qualitative approaches. Nature attracts the man on their beauty and if the affection is marked too deep, it may cause the arrival of their lovers many times to quench the thirst. In this respect, it is noteworthy if on earth be an Eden of bliss, it is Pachmarhi a hill resort, a trekker's paradise, the queen of Satpura and the most verdant jewel of Madhya Pradesh where nature has found exquisite expression in myriad enchanting ways. The observations have been made on the basis of the topographical sheets (Survey of India) interpretation and the extensive field survey of the area. The evaluation of terrain is made through morphometric tools denoting the facts from topo sheets and the problems and prospects have been raised by the judgment of field knowledge. Effects have been made to discuss and explain the topic through scientific approaches. The book comprises seven chapters including sections subsequently. Each chapter separately stands complete in itself but it is interlinked with the succeeding one, presenting a consummate finish with its conclusion.
