Synopsis Anthropological Demography is recognized as the basis for understanding of the genetic differentiation of human populations.  It bridges between different disciplines providing basic material for the analysis of bio-cultural changes and also economic, social and political changes.  Anthropological demography also proves useful in health promotion and disease curative strategies.  Keeping in mind the significance of the anthropological demography, a modest attempt has been made to present relevant research papers in the book form.  This book is based on the proceedings of a national seminar entitled 'Role of Anthropology in Human Welfare'.  It contains thirteen research papers after peer review of total papers.
