Synopsis Hindu pooja customs and rituals is too vast a subject to be confined to a few pages or even many pages. Traditionally, this is handed down from generation to generation by the elders in the family. Festival celebrations where the whole family gathers from dawn till dusk and sometimes through the night, left everyone with a feeling of satisfaction and well-being. Many families still follow this practice. However, an equally large number find it more convenient to visit a temple on such auspicious days, due to constraints of time, space and finance. For those who would still like to perform poojas at home in their own personal way, this book gives a simplified version of the traditions and rituals for each festival, an easy do-it-yourself guide with a brief narration of the legends associated with the festivals, wherever relevant.  The prayers are in Hindi script followed by English transliteration for the convenience of readers.
