About the author

Neelum Saran Gour

Neelum Saran Gour is the author of two collections of short stories, Grey Pigeon and Other Stories (1993) and Winter Companions and Other Stories (1997), and three novels, Speaking of â€™62 (1995), Virtual Realities (2002), and Messres Dickens, Doyle and Wodehouse Private Limited (2005). She has been a humour columnist for the Hindustan Times. Her short stories have been published in a number of Indian and international journals. She has been the Charles Wallace writer-in-residence at the University of Kent, UK, and is currently professor of English at Allahabad University.
