Synopsis This book highlights the achievements and drawbacks of the agricultural and industrial sectors of West Bengal. With over 70 percent of the population of the state in rural areas, West Bengal has successfully re-established its position on the agricultural map of India through exemplary performance in rice and vegetable production and improved rural prosperity.
