Synopsis This volume in based on empirical study carried out to understand the determinants of truckers vulnerability to HIV and develop a perspective to do social work practice with them. The volume is divided in eight-chapters. Chapter one describes the HIV infection as a public health challenge. Chapter two explore the epidemiology of the infection at global, regional level. It provides insights into the epidemic in India and Delhi and specially on high risk groups.
