The subject matter presented in the manual is compiled as per the syllabus setup by the Veterinary Council of India in Veterinary Clinical Medicine-II for veterinary students. This manual covers all practical aspects of clinical examination of animal and most commonly used laboratory techniques (including ruminal fluid examination, CSF examination, bone marrow and lymph node biopsy, blood transfusion, enzymology and other biochemical parameters) for the diagnosis of metabolic/production diseases. All the methods are given in a very simple way to use directly in the laboratory by even under graduate students. In this manual, students are given a chance to use their mind in solving fundamental questions given at the end of each exercise, and interpret and correlate the results with clinical signs of the diseases, which can be an aid to the confirmatory diagnosis of disease.
