Dr. Amit Pandey is presently working as Scientist 'E' in the forest Pathology division; F.R.I., Dehradun. His sincere devotion and passion for scientific acumen got him nominated to persue specialized research at New Zealand where he has been awarded the certificate of distinction as scientist. In a very short span of time (14 years) Dr. Pandey has been promoted thrice and got associated with important scientific bodies of his field. Dr. Pandey's interest of work includes Ecological and Environmental Biology with particular reference to Biodiversity, Natural Resources e.g. minerals, energy, water, and forests and has presented his work at various forums. Dr. Pandey's ardent enthusiasm and love for Environmental awareness place him much above a common scientist, particularly amongst ecologists.

Dr. J.P. Shukla (Reader), soon after Completing his M.Sc (Zoology), Joined research in 1978 in the department of Zoology, D D U Gorakhpur University in Professor's Pandey's lab and was awarded fellowships (JRF, SRF, PDF, & Research Associateship, C.S.I.R., New Delhi). Having roughly 25 years of teaching experience including sixteen month as Res. Associate in Gorakhpur University, Dr. Shukla has to his credit, published a number of research papers in journals of international and national repute like Env. Biol. Fish (Canada), Cell. Mol. Biol., Toxicol. Lett (Londo). Acta Pharmacol. Toxicol (Compenghagen), Acta Hydrochim at Hydrobiol (W.Germany) Archieves de Biol (Belgium) and several others. Dr. J.P.Shukla along with his mentor, Prof.K. Pandey, authored seven booksof high academic repute which have been published by leading publication house of the country. In recoginition of Dr. Shukla's scientific temper and academic superiority, he was invited to attend 4th international congress on Ecology in 1986 at state university, New York. He was also invited to assist in framing U.G.C. syllabi for the colleges and universities of U.P. Besides being the recipient of honorary fellowship awards of several learned scientific bodies of the country, he has also been awarded D.D. Gold Medal and Satellite Gold Medal by the Academic of Env. Biol., Poorvanchal Ranta by Mukta Foundation, best teacher award by Rotary club, Basti (U.P) and Congress of Zoology Medal by ZSI.

Prof. K. Pandey retired as Professor of Zoology from D.D.U. Gorakhpur Univeristy, Gorkhpur. He obtained his M.Sc. (Gold Medalist) and Ph.D. Degree in Zoology from Gorakhpur University. Prof. Pandey occupied almost all the prestigious academic and administrative positions in the university. He concentrated his teaching and researchon most of the modern disciplines klike Experimental embryology, endocrinology, Reproductive Biology, and Ecotoxicology, in addition to classical Zoology. There are a large number of research papers to his credit in Research Journals of International repute and book as well. Prof. Pandey has authored books on toxicology, animal behavior, Vertebrate Regulatory Mechanisms, Fish and Fisheries, and invertebrate Pratical Zoology. He has been associated with a number of scientific and professional bodies in India and abroad. His name was also proposed for Indira Gandhi Paryavaran Puraskar-2003 by the ministry of Environment and forest, appointed chairman by U.P. Government to frame an unified syllabi for U.G. courses taught in Universities and colleges of Uttar Pradesh, and also U.P. Public Service Commission has appointed him Chairman to revise the then existing old syllabi of Zoology.
