The Micro and Small Enterprises constitute over 90% of total enterprises in most of the economies and are credited with generating the highest rates of employment growth and account for a major share of industrial production and exports. The development of enterprises in the North East states seriously handicapped due to some inherent problems. In spite of immense scope for the development of many resource and demand based MSEs; the region is still lagging behind the others parts of the country.
