Synopsis Himalaya beckons countless souls to its folds for different reasons.  It has attracted spiritual souls and on lesser plains it calls millions to just come and savour its exquisite beauty.  List of people who have been inspired by Himalaya would be a very long one indeed.  The author took up the twin challenge of trekking to its nooks and crannies and capturing their eternal beauty with his camera.  During the last three decades he has made about 300 trips he recalls and from these trips he recalls some episodes which relate to the image in a very oblique manner.  The picture reveals nothing about the experiences and emotions behind them.  This makes the books one of its first kind worth much more than just a thousand words.  It may also provide inspiration for the youngsters to take up adventure.  For photo buffs there are many suggestions and would be a delight for arm chair travellers.
