Author tried his best to show the historiocity which is operating. How the Koras have been differentiated from that of the original Kol group of people have been pin pointed by the researcher. About the work Dr. Brian Morris of the University of London comments that "thesis is a pioneering work, being the first substantial ethnographic account of the Kora which make important cross-cultural comparison with other Munda speaking communities. This he has done competently, and full of ethnographic detail that may be used by other scholars with more specialist or theoretical interests. The work will also will prove to be of salience for social workers and administrators who deal with the Koras. Suggesting the same view, Prof. A Munirathnam Reddy of S.V. University, Tirupati, opines as an ‘excellent academic work’ which ‘will be of immense use to the policy markers in West Bengal and New Delhi.
