Synopsis The book is designed to cover most important premises and concepts of geomorphology for the college and university students in geography and geology.  Equally, it will provide a valuable introduction to the subject for the experienced professional in land evaluation and management.  Indeed this book provides an overall framework for geomorphological approaches to the study of earth surface forms and processes in such a way which may appear elementary but may meet the need of students in geomorphology and other users.  In addition to providing important and up to date material on many developing aspects of modern geomorphology, this book might well be used and regarded as one of the most important references text for many undergraduate (Honours) and post-graduate courses in geomorphology to be produced for some time.  This book brings together, in a concise and handy form, material concerned with systematic theme of landforms and genetic processes that will appeal not only to the students of geomorphology but surely to geoscientists, geographers, hydrologists, engineers and agriculturists alike as the scope of geomorphology is not only limited to a class room but to a wider field of studies with an applied dimension.  The text is divided into three major parts dealing respectively with issues, basic concepts, ideas and principles in Part I; systematic description of genetic landforms and processes, illustrated throughout with charts and diagrams, in Part II; and lastly with the methods and techniques required, and the applied geomorphology in Part III.
