The study examines research performance of world scientists in the field on Gender Studies in Informatics (GSI). The purpose of this study is to present the volume of research in progress regarding the subject of gender studies. The period of study was from 1969 to 2005. A total of 6311 records covered in Engineering village (COMPENDEX & INSPEC) database were taken for the study.
This study attempts to build a comprehensive data base on women in informatics and map the status of women in this discipline. The present work is segregated into two parts, i.e. (i) Scientometric analysis of Gender Studies in Informatics and (ii) Theme wise analysis of Gender Studies in Informatics for analytical experiments.
