The vast ocean of Sanskrit literature is saturated with higher intellectual heights and deeper insights into life and education. The Indian concept of education has always been to enrich one's life so that man becomes a good human displaying appropriate qualities and work culture that contribute to the welfare of all beings. While we may not be able to revive the ancient Gurukul system of education now, what has to be ensured is that the basic principles, and the holistic wisdom and vision of the ancient Indian educational system are renovated, re-understood, preserved, adopted and re-expressed in modern thought.
