Psycho Social Problems of Women Teachers
Women have remained the suffering segment of humanity since the known period of history. In the modern and post modern periods of history too women have been by and large at the receiving end and especially so in the under developed countries of the world. Even in the developing countries their position has been far from rosy. In recent years problems of women have acquired new dimensions of increasingly complicated nature. Under the pressure of imperatives of availing better standards of living they have to remain busy at their work places for several hours during the day time where male employees of the population are also on their duty. This situation has been entailing new problems of psycho social adjustments for them in the world which is still male dominated. This reality and the doubling of the burden thrown on their shoulders by the job duties coupled with the heavy domestic responsibilities has inevitably brought them under ponderous shades of stress and strain. It was in the context of this existential reality confronting the working women that the topic of the present study was conceived. The problem actually faced by women teachers in flow and flux of our educational institutions have been precisely high lighted in this momentous piece of research accomplished with scientific exactitude. The scientific lines adopted by worthy investigators can serve as guiding lights for researchers interested in undertaking similar projects covering women in other employment sectors of our society.
It is now time to precisely and urgently aware of the problems of women operating in different domains of the world of work so that truly effective measures can be taken to solve them to the extent possible. The findings of the project can be of immense practical help in doing what needs to be done for better adjustment and overall welfare of working women in civilized societies such as ours.
