The present book is a study in man and morals. Man, as a social being, has a faculty of reasoning and articulation. The being of man is unique and versatile as his knowledge of things is superb. The distinctive features of man's personality is that it abides not merely by natural laws but also by the morals of society. There is an intimate relationship between man and morals, which forms the main theme of this study from the point of view of Dr. Ambedkar's philosophy of life, thought and movement.

Dr. Ambedkar has emphasized in his writings and speeches in various ways that man cannot exist in isolation from his fellow-beings, he is moulded and moved in definite social conditions and the prevalent morals. For Dr. Ambedkar, the human essence may be found in what man has created in terms of religion, culture and morals. This study fairly recognizes that man cannot develop his physical and moral capabilities without establishing some common rules of conduct, for man is an ensemble of social relations. This signifies Dr. Ambedkar's analysis and approach towards human problems. The book, therefore, provides interesting and intellectual readings in view of the contemporary world situation.
