India Emerging: Opportunities and Challenges
We are indeed delighted to present the conference proceedings of IC2011-India Emerging: Opportunities and Challenges before the readers. IC2011 successfully managed to bring together academicians, researchers, bureaucrats and practitioners from diverse fields like economics, sociology, environmental science, political science, engineering, IT and management from all over the world and provided them a forum for discussions and exchange of their views on what needs to be done by India and how and its virtuous impact on Emerging India. The biggest challenge before India is to manage this growth effectively and also integrate with the global economy smoothly. For this we need to develop new business models and strategies. At the same time it is equally important to study the impact of these changes on business Government and society. The issues were discussed in detail during two days of conference, which brings out this compilation in print format.
This conference proceeding features articles, research papers which had undergone a rigorous review process. The references and explorations from the conference in the form of this book will go a long way in further research studies and for designing the road map for future India. We thank whole IBA family for extending their support in every phase of compilation of the proceedings. We would also like to thank all the delegates, eminent speakers and guests who contributed by their intellectual capacity to the conference. The issues involved with the development of India as an emerging power are well addressed through this book, which makes it quite interesting to read.
