Synopsis The book contains about 6500 words on Entomology, Plant Pathology and Nematology given in alphabetical order. To make it more exhaustive, terms from allied sciences like veterinary and medical sciences have also been included. The terms on various aspects of these branches like morphology, anatomy, physiology, and taxonomy, etc. have been defined in a simple and lucid language, with examples whereever necessary. Some of the important insect pests, diseases and nematodes, especially those occurring in India and Asia have also been explained. Care has been taken for including recent nomenclature of various species. The plurals for most of the words have invariably been given and cross references of the words or their interrelationships with each other have also been mentioned. The coined names, chemical names and trade names of commonly used insecticides and fungicides have been given at the same place to avoid confusion. In case of words having more than one explanations, all the meanings have been cited at the same place.
