Joginder Paul

JOGINDER PAUL, born in Sialkot, Pakistan, migrated to India at the time of the Partition. He has to his credit three novels, two novellas and many collections of short stories. Acknowledged as one of the leading Urdu writers of the subcontinent, his fiction has received much critical acclaim and has been translated into various Indian and foreign languages.

Keerti Ramachandra

Keerti Ramachandra is a fiction editor, multilingual translator and teacher.  With a Masters in literature and an M Phil inj linguistics she has been teaching in schools and colleges in India and abroad.  She is currently teaching a course in Creative Non-Fiction and Structures in English at Xavier Institute of Communication, Mumbai.  She can translate from Kannada, Marathi and Hindi and has been actively associated with Katha as a fiction editor.  Her interests include art history and art appreciation, Hindustani classical music, dance, handicrafts and folk art.  Besides Hindi, Marathi and Kannada, she is fluent in Konkani and Tamil and has a working knowledge of Gujarati and Bangla.

Sukrita Paul Kumar

Formerly a Fellow of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla, Sukrita Paul Kumar has been writing and publishing extensively on modern Hindi and Urdu fiction.  Her critical works include Conversations on Modernism, The New Story, and Man, Woman and Androgyny.  She has also edited a number of critical volumes including Ismat: Her Life, Her Times, Mapping Memories and Women’s Studies in India: Contours of Change.  A published poet, her collections include Folds of Silence, Oscillations and Apurna.  She was also nominated for the International Writing Programme at Iowa in 2002.  Translations have been published by the National Book Trust.  A recipient of several grants and fellowships, she has lectured and given readings in many universities in India and abroad, including Cambridge, SOAS, University of Hong Kong, York University in Toronto and University of California in Irvine.
