B.K. Swain is Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Sociology, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. He obtained his Master’s degree, M. Phil and Ph.D. in Sociology from the Department of Sociology, Nagpur University, in 1984, 1985 and 1994, respectively. He has 27 years of teaching and 20 years of research experience in Sociology. The core areas of his interest include sociological theories, change and mobility, women’s studies, sociology of ageing, sociology of leisure and work. He has authored two books, one on “Changing Occupational Structure in Vidarbha, India”, published by Himalaya Publishing House, Mumbai, and the other on “Child Labour in India”, published by Dattsons, Nagpur. He has contributed several research papers to various research journals in India.

Pradeep Meshram is Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Sociology, J M Patel College, Bhandara. He did his Master’s degree, M. Phil and Ph.D. in Sociology from the Department of Sociology, Nagpur University, Nagpur, in 1994, 1995 and 2012, respectively. He has 15 years of teaching and 10 years of research experience to his credit. His areas of interest cover sociological theories, methodology, social change, subaltern studies and media research. He has presented 32 research papers in national seminars and 3 in international conferences. He has organized UGC sponsored national and state level seminars. He is actively associated with the professional bodies like Marathi Samaj Sashtra Parishad and Indian Sociological Society, as life members. He is executive member of the Indian Sociological Society’s Research Committee -15 (Social Change and Development).

Ashok Borkar is Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. He did his graduation in 1992 and post-graduation in 1994 from Hislop College, Nagpur. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Sociology from Nagpur University in 2005. He has eight years of teaching and five years of research experience. The areas of his interest include sociology of women’s studies, tribal studies, sociology of social movements and sociology of social change and development. He has few research publications to his credit. He has presented 15 papers in national seminars and 02 in international seminars. He is the editor of the Journal of Interdisciplinary Policy Research and Action (IPRA). He is a life member of Marathi Samaj Sashtra Parishad and Indian Sociological Society.
