India-Africa Enduring Partnership: Emerging Areas of Cooperation
The publication contains fifteen papers presented at an international seminar that study Indo-African ties, throwing light on the changing dynamics in the relations between the countries. The papers deal with trade, investment, development assistance, security and capacity building efforts between India and countries of the continent of Africa. They probe India’s relations with oil-rich Nigeria, Libya, Egypt, Libya, Angola among others, particularly its domestic needs and foreign policy behaviour. They examine India’s investment in African agriculture and opportunities in the agro-industry there, issues concerning Indian diaspora in the continent and Chin’s edge over India where Africa is concerned. They also explore how India’s relations with Africa differ from its approach towards the Western countries especially where objectives and the political discourse are concerned.
