A world bank repot states that women produce more than half the food in the developing world and as much as three fourth in Africa. They play a substantial role in the storage, processing and making of food cash crops, and they often have vharge of small livestock. Women constituting one fourth of industrial labour in the world and work in the large and growing informal sectors of rural and urban areas.
