ULIMIRI V. Somayajulu is currently CEO and Executive Director, Sigma Research and Consulting, New Delhi. He has more than 22 years of experience in socisl/developmental and demographic research on wide ranging issues in India and Sri Lanka. He has MBA, PG diploma in Management, Diploma in Management and PG Diploma in Human Resource Managment from IGNOU, M. A. Sociology from Annamalai University, Ph. D. and M. Phil. from International Institute for Population Sciences and M. Sc. Statistics from Andhra University. He is member of East-West Center, Honolulu. Population Environment Research Network, and International Union for Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP). He is Executive Board member of International Society for Urban Health (ISUH), General Secretary and Board of Trustee Treasurer of the Indian Association for Study of Population (IASP) and Vice President of the Indian Association for Social Science in Health (IASSH). He was member of Expert Group on HRG Estimation for National AIDS Control on HRG Estimation for National AIDS Control Programme III Planning, and Mrmber, Advisory Board-Byrraju Foundation.
