Delhi's Diplomatic Domains: Chanceries and Residences of Chanakyapuri and Imperial New Delhi
The volume offers a glimpse of more than forty purpose-built and heritage property foreign missions situated in New Delhi. Through archival material, some anecdotal accounts, a number of photographs that highlight the architecture and interiors of the missions as well as maps, it discusses the diplomatic domains of countries with respect to a number of aspects like the history of the establishments, the historical relationships of the countries with India, the architecture and interiors of the diplomatic domains and details of landscaping. However, the text reflects individuality on the presentation of each mission. The appendix has maps and tables that attempt to provide an overview of facts and figures pertaining to the missions and include a list of buildings that were previously occupied by diplomatic missions.
