About the author

Ashutosh Kar

Professor Kar has a commendable track record in academic institutions of high repute in Nigeria, India, Libya and Ethiopia for more than 23 years. He has been actively engaged in teaching, research, administration and service to his profession. He has since published more than fifty research papers and guided several P.G./Ph.D., students in Nigeria, India and Ethiopia. He has creditably bagged the University Gold Medal in B.Pharm. and M.Pharm. Examinations, and Ph.D., from the University of Saugar, Sagar (India). He is the Life Member of a number of national professional bodies, such as: APTI, ISTE and IPGA. Besides the present text, he has completed four other fast selling text-books-Medicinal Chemistry, 3rd Edn., 2005; Pharmacognosy and Pharmaco-biotechnology 2003; Advanced Practical Medicinal Chemistry 2004; and Phaarmaceutical Biotechnology 2005-all published by New Age International (P) Limited, Publishers (New Delhi), meant for B.Pharm. and M.
