The volume presents the fifty-second issue of Indian Archaeology 2004-05 – A Review incorporating articles by a number of organisations engaged in archaeological activities covering excavations, epigraphy, numismatics, museums, architectural surveys, preservation of monuments, archaeological chemistry, archaeological gardens and publications. Incorporating discussions on various themes, it covers the subject by taking up the themes vis-à-vis the states of India. It discusses explorations that have been undertaken in the states of India and epigraphic and numismatic evidences found in the course of the archaeological activity, conservation of monuments in the states and archaeological chemistry as well as gardens spread across the states. The aim is to present a comprehensive understanding of the progress made in archaeology and archaeological studies across the country in the recent past.
