India has a robust legislative and institutional framework to address the twin tasks of protection and promotion of human right. In spite of a number of serious challenges, India remains deeply committed to human rights and has taken significant strides towards these goals. The new South Afric prohibits discrimination on the basis of color, Sex, religion, age, race, gender language, marital status, ethnic or social religion, belief cultural and birth. Both South Africa and India have established Human rights commissions to curb human rights abuses cross the country. Thus South Africa and India should work to protect and promote human rights of the people.

Juhi Bhatnagar

Juhi Bhatnagar, bron in 1988, is an emerging Scholar of human rights in African Studies having Junior Research Fellowship of the UGC. She did her internship from All India Human Rights Association her Masters in Human Rights. Prior to it, she has executed her Diploma in French language from St. Stephen's College University of Delhi. She has contributed several articles on Africa to academic books on journals and has participated in a number of national conferences and seminars on Africa and Human Rights.
